In the fields of Sustainable Chemistry and Industrial Biotechnology, it deals in particular with:
- biocatalysis, discovery, production and characterization of (new) enzymes for industrial enzymology applications;
-improvement of biocatalysts through molecular biology and immobilization methods;
-optimization of multi-enzymatic and chemo-enzymatic cascade systems with high synthetic efficiency.
- valorization of waste products from the agro-food industry
-screening of molecules active on enzymes implicated in rare diseases (Malaria and Leishmaniasis)
-2006 Master´s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, University of Milan. 110/110 cum laude
-2011 PhD in Biotechnology,Università of Insubria. PhD project:“New hydroxysteroid dehydrogenases and their synthetic application in the selective modification of bile acids”.
-from 2006 to 2014 worked at ICRM-CNR in Milan as research assistant in the biocatalysis group
-from 2014 to 2016 worked as Post-Doc -Marie Curie IEF- at the University of Copenhagen
-from 2016 worked as Post-Doc at ICRM-CNR in the biocatalysis group.
-from 2019 is a research scientist in the same group at SCITEC-CNR
