At CSAN - CNR I carried out my work for research programs of the CNR (as P.I.), of the University "La Sapienza", of the MURST and of the Pasteur Institute-Cenci Bolognetti Foundation, aimed at studying the relationships between structure and functions chromatin by chemical, biochemical, biological molecular and microscopy (TEM and AFM) methods. At the Rome Section of the ICRM, now SCITEC, located at the Institute of Biochemistry and Clinical Biochemistry, of the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, I deal with: 1- Expression of genes implicated in apoptotic phenomena and oxidative stress in cell cultures and rat or mouse tissue by molecular biology methods; 2- Analysis of telomerase activity by TRAP assay in immortalized cells in the presence of compounds with alleged anti-tumor activity; 3- Analysis by visualization with AFM of the aging of the red blood cell; 4- Analysis of mitochondrial DNA damage.
