The research activity is focused on the application of high resolution NMR to different fields. 1) metabolic profiling of food and plants. In the case of foods, the NMR data are used to asses quality, geographical origin, frauds etc. In the case of plants to establish the molecular structure of biologically active compounds. NMR data are also be included in multivariate statistical protocols. 2) microstructural characterization of synthetic polymers and biological macromolecules. 3) structural characterization and quantification of small molecules an investigations of complex mixtures.
