The research activity is focused on the synthesis of semiconducting materials (small molecules and polymers) for organic/hybrid solar cells, OLEDs, sensing applications and biopolymers (bacterial cellulose, polydopamine) for biological or environmental applications. A part of my work is also dedicated to materials nanostructuring throught electrospinning (nanofibers), electrodepositions (NPs, nanostars), self-polymerization (polydopamine capsules, NPS), bioprocessing (bacterial cellulose). The research activity is also focused on the up-cycling of urban, industrial and agriculture wastes throught circular economy to obtain high added value materials.
