The research activity is strongly characterized by clinical proteomics studies and development of innovative analytical methods based on liquid chromatography and Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) and Capillary Electrochromatography microanalytical techniques in coupling with mass spectrometry, in the context of national and international scientific collaborations and research projects.
Expertise specifically acquired: i) proteomics and peptidomics of biofluids, tissues and cell cultures, following top-down/bottom-up mass spectrometry integrated platforms: biomarker discovery, bioactive peptides, neuroproteomics, secretome profiling; ii) CE and CEC-UV/MS new methods development for applications of biomedico-clinical, toxicological, food analysis and environmental interest; iii) chiral separations: study of new chiral selectors by CE, chiral pharmaceutical compounds separation, enantiomeric purity evaluation, stereoselective metabolisms.
Author of more than 95 papers on peer reviewed international journals, 3 books chapters, national and international congress communications and invited oral communications.
