LUCRA - SustainabLe sUCcinic acid production using an integRAted electrochemical bioreactor and renewable feedstock

Abstract: The EU project LUCRA is dedicated to reshaping the production of succinic acid by demonstrating the technical and economic feasibility of turning organic waste into bio-succinic acid on a pre-industrial scale. This versatile building block holds the key to biobased innovation across a multitude of industries, including packaging, textiles, agriculture, and automotive. The role of SCITEC is to asses the polymerization of bio-succinic acid for the synthesis of novel (co)polyesters for different applications.
