Filippo Bossola

His research interests include (i) the development, characterization and testing of nanostructured heterogeneous catalysts for the hydrogen production via reforming reactions of biomass-derived compouds such as alcohols, acids and polyols; (ii) the synthesis and characterization of innovative solid acid catalysts for the production of chemicals from biomass-derived compounds; (iii) the development of nanomaterials for photocatalytic applications mainly for the abatement of pollutants.

-03/2017 – 11/2019 Post-doc position at the Institute of Molecular Science and Technologies (ISTM) of the CNR in Milan, Italy, on the FREECATS project (financed by EIT-RM, n° 15054) on the following topic: “Development of materials with (photo)catalytic activity for the hydrogen production”.
-From 11/2019 he is a research scientist at the Institute of Chemical Science and Technology “Giulio Natta” (SCITEC) of the CNR in Milan, Italy.
