Dott. Sergio Riva is Director of Research at the Institute of Chemical Sciences and Technologies “Giulio Natta” (SCITEC) of the Italian National Council of Research (CNR).
He was awarded the Ciamician medal by the Organic Chemical Division of the Italian Chemical Society for his research in biocatalysis (1983).
His scientific activity is documented by more than 220 publications and patents reporting on the isolation and characterization of different groups of enzymes and on their synthetic exploitation.
