Her research interests cover an interdisciplinary area, encompassing the synthesis of new fluorophores for optoelectronics, molecular spectroscopy (photophysics and photochemistry), surface engineering and coatings, optoelectronic devices. She contributed to the setup and start-up of the SmartMatLab facility dedicated to the preparation and characterization of smart materials, thin films and devices.
Her main research activity is focused on:
i. development of visible and near-infrared phosphorescent iridium complexes for optoelectronic and electrochemiluminescence applications
ii. vacuum-deposited and solution processed optoelectronic devices (OLEDs, DSSCs, polymeric and small molecules bulk heterojunction solar cells)
iii. coating films for electrode protection
iv. spectroscopic characterization steady state and time resolved of luminescent materials and molecular systems for exciplex and up-conversion emission
