Marcello Marelli is a senior scientist at CNR-SCITEC, where his research focuses on the synthesis of nanoparticles using microfluidic methods and their morphological characterization. He is interested in understanding how morphology and nanostructure can improve or the activity of advanced nanomaterials. His background spans analytical chemistry, electron microscopy, and the design of microfluidic apparatus for the controlled production of nanomaterials. Within the scope of the project, he will co-design the microfluidic protocols and the optimization procedures for the one-pot syntheses of Au-hybrid systems. Moreover, he will lead the nano-characterization unit to study the morphology, composition, and bio-fate inside the cell media.
