Synthesis of organic and metallorganic small molecules, coordination compounds and supramolecular systems characterized by high functional properties (optical, electrical, magnetic and molecular recognition).
Marco Cavazzini graduated in Chemistry at the University of Milan in 1996 and obtained his PhD in Industrial Chemistry in 2000. In the following six months he won a post-doctoral fellowship from the National Research Council (CNR) on the preparation of fluorinated chiral phosphine ligands. In 2001 he became a research scientist at the CNR. In the period 2007-2015 he was appointed responsible for the research unit "Molecular, supramolecular or macromolecular components with photonic and optoelectronic properties" of the CNR.
